Balmoral Castle

Balmoral Castle was first purchased by Prince Albert in 1852 for Queen Victoria, and has since been the Scottish home for the Royal Family. Open to the public for a few months during the year, visitors are able to view the grounds and castle, fish, and take guided pony treks throughout the surrounding property. It is located between Dundee and Aberdeen.

Aberdeen Harbour

For more than 800 years Aberdeen's harbour has docked the world's finest ships, and is touted as the oldest business in Britain. It has acted as a naval base during times of conflict, and now supports Scotland's offshore oil and gas industry. Part of the port acts as a disply for Aberdeen's Maritime Museum.
